Our Story

We are a small candy store run by 3 generations of family. In 1981 my mother Eleanor Madara, who was a mother of 4 young children at the time, bought The Candy Box from a family down the road. Her and my father William H. Madara, moved the store into our family home on the farm and it has been here ever since. After 40 years of business, my mother decided to retire and I (Dawn Madara Valente), the youngest child, officially took over the family business. Since day 1 of opening we have maintained the same friendly service and have welcomed people from all walks of life into our home.

About Us

We are a small country candy store that carries handmade chocolates. We customize every box that goes through our doors to help you fulfill your sweet tooth and celebrate all occasions. We also make customized trays, baskets and pyramids for any occasion. Along with handmade chocolates we carry a variety of gummy candy, licorice and jelly beans.
